Book Club
What if the future of economics isn’t about producing more—but about living better?
Join us this term to read Small is Beautiful by E.F Schumacher. We will meet monthly on the 3rd Monday to discuss a few chapters at a time, working our way through the book between September and December. We’ll explore Schumacher’s vision of “economics as if people mattered” and discuss his challenge to the idea that bigger, better, faster, and more growth-oriented is always better.
All are welcome and should feel free to bring any friends curious about how we participate in and benefit from the economics of our world, rather than simply feeding them.
Leader: Jeremy Proffitt
CoLeader: Annie Dimond
Location: Bellwether House
Start Date: September 21st
